Did you ever meet someone and become “fast friends”, where you feel like you’ve known them your entire life, but you’ve only just met recently? I know those feelings, I have them on occasion; I’ve had them here and there throughout my life. I think they are leftover energies, imprints if you will, left upon the universe from times past… a wink and smile and perhaps a bond from another time that went deep… coming full circle and finding you again in this lifetime.
The energy of spirit and soul is not breakable – you will find people over and over again in your journey, in one form or another whether it’s lovers, friends, or family. The label you put on those relationships doesn’t matter in the least – it’s the bond of love, of spirit – that finds it’s way back together through universal connections in lifetimes.

What a beautiful thought Sheila and such a wonderful poster, too. Looking forward to buying your new book later today!!

Because all my children are adopted or foster and came from many cultures and countries, I often think about what our spiritual bond is and how we all found each other. I know so clearly that these were all meant to be my children. Bonds across lifetimes, I’m thinking.

Sheila: Thanks for a beautiful post! ( : I believe in soul and spirit connections as well. I feel closer to a person when I can connect with them spiritually. I do not even have to know them, but with a spiritual connection there becomes a fast connection between us. I want to have bonds people that reach across my lifetime and never go away.
Best Wishes,
William Veasley

Beautiful post, Sheila. This is like our own Karma theory, part of which believes that in this life, we reap what we sowed in a past life.
I have the feeling you describe quite frequently…and I feel totally blessed. I loved this line from your post: “a wink and smile and perhaps a bond from another time that went deep… coming full circle and finding you again in this lifetime.” Oh, positive deja vu and the feeling of having been hugged!
Love you. Hugs! Vidya

your post is so inspiring. My husband and soul mate for 21 years joined our creator just last month. So painful, but i kept on thanking God for those memorable years that I lived a very meaningful life with someone to whom I seemingly found the other half of myself.

Sheila, what a beautiful post! I have definitely experienced this, and find that I’ve connected with some people more deeply – having known them only very briefly – than people I’ve known for most of my life. It’s truly amazing, and feels like such a gift when it happens. You know – that sense of being “understood” at the core.
(By the way, so glad to finally visit your website, after frequenting your lovely FB page).
Wishing you a wonderful new year!
Christine
